They thirst for knowledge about the world and have a monumental desire to learn.  And as we know, 3, 4, 5, and 6-year-olds have lots of energy.  At The Dicker Reading Method our early childhood education program, the Pre-K and Kindergarten Head Start Reading Tutoring Program is one of our most popular offerings.  Through one-on-one, private, individual tutoring we will teach your preschooler or kindergartener to read, and put them on the path to success.  It’s fun, easy, life’s most exciting game, and most importantly, it works! Children in our program are reading in 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, and even 5th-grade levels.

When you bring your child to their first session at Dicker Reading, they will be assessed to determine the best place for them to start their reading journey. Some children will start in the Kindergarten program, and others in the Pre-K, depending on how many words they can read, and how much confidence they have. Our assessment will ensure that your child is at a comfortable level, where they can begin to develop the confidence they need to become a strong, fluent reader. In the Pre-K and Kindergarten Head Start Reading Tutoring Program, once your child is reading comfortably, they will begin to make progress at their own pace. As they progress, they will develop a fluent reading style, reading comprehension abilities, and a love of reading that will last their whole life!
