We Will Solve Your Child’s Reading Problem
Entering middle school can be an exciting time for 6th graders, a year of new experiences and firsts. It will most likely be the first time these 11- and 12-year-olds will have different teachers for each academic subject area. 6th grade, for most students, will be in a new school building. There will most likely be many new friends to make as the graduates of a handful of elementary schools converge into a singular middle school. During this time, 6th graders are usually able to take part in a new array of sports, school clubs, after school activities, and of course, there are many physical and social changes for 6th-graders.
With all of these changes, there is one thing that remains consistent: academically, everything keeps getting more difficult. Literature becomes more advanced, vocabulary becomes more challenging, and students are expected to answer much more complex comprehension questions.
Does your child:
- have diffuculty with Reading Comprehension?
- not know the meanings of words?
- make mistakes while reading?
- read hesitantly?
- become unfocused while reading?
There is a universal assumption that 6th graders will be fluent, comfortable readers. In every distinct academic subject area, students are expected to learn, not only from classroom lectures, but also from take-home reading assignments, not only English Language Arts, but also for Science, Social Studies, and Math. If a student is unable to read, and most importantly, understand these reading assignments, they will struggle in school and it will destroy their self-esteem and their confidence right alongside their GPA. That is why it is so important to get them on the right track with The Dicker Reading Method.
For the past 35 years, The Dicker Reading Method has developed custom-tailored, private tutoring programs for children. We have created a time-tested, exclusive method that introduces students to 20,000 words developmentally. With The Dicker Reading Method’s 6th Grade Reading Tutoring Program your child can learn 5 words and their meanings in 1 minute. Watch as your child’s grades, test scores, and confidence soar as they develop a love for reading and school.

"When my daughter Katie fell behind in reading in the first grade, I tried everything to help Katie-countless tutors, phonics programs; but nothing worked until she enrolled in the Dicker Reading Method. In just one month, Katie, a 7th grader, went from a 3rd-grade reading level to an 8th-grade reading level."
"My son was in the third grade when he had a great deal of difficulty in reading because he was diagnosed with speech/language delay with an auditory processing disorder. After approximately 1 year in the program, a miracle occurred where he was reading on a 6th-grade level and was able to master words, meanings of words, and comprehension! He was recently accepted to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) for engineering. Thanks to this program, my son would not be where he is today. I highly recommend it to anyone who has any reading problem!"
"Darius, a 7th-grader, was in special education labeled with ADHD. In 6 months, he went from reading on a 4th-grade level to a 12th-grade level and was able to master words, the meaning of words, and comprehension! After scoring in the highest percentile on the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT), he was pleased with being admitted to 9 out of 11 of the nation’s most competitive engineering programs, or what his mother, Donna, calls “an 81% acceptance rate, thanks to the Dicker Reading Method.” Darius chose Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) because it was the best for him and because their motto attracted him, which is: Why not change the world?"
"We saw students who experienced failure and frustration begin to enjoy their studies and to enjoy reading. We discovered remarkable increase in reading grades.
