Discover how your special needs child can improve their reading and comprehension skills, achieving their full potential!
We will teach your child to read better, faster, with greater fluency and comprehension in a fun, nurturing environment.
Your child will achieve 3,4,5 even 6-grade levels in one year—advancing 1 year every 4-8 weeks.
Your child’s grades, test scores, confidence, and self-esteem will soar as they develop a love for reading and school.
Not every student who reads above grade level is reading comfortably, fluently, and with enjoyment and understanding. Does your child know the meaning of words they encounter as they read? Do they have difficulty with reading comprehension? Do they write clearly and effectively?
It’s likely that they are not achieving their true reading potential. The Dicker Reading Method above grade level enrichment program can support your child in reaching their full potential, becoming the best readers they can be.

For the past 35 years, the Dicker Reading Method has developed custom-tailored, private enrichment programs for gifted children. We have created a time-tested, exclusive method that introduces students to 20,000 words developmentally. With The Dicker Reading Method, students can learn 5 words and their meanings in 1 minute. Watch as your elementary and middle school child’s grades, test scores, and confidence soar. We also prepare high school students for the SATs, college essays, and college applications.
Based on our work with thousands of gifted readers, The Dicker Reading Method knows that your child’s potential is much greater than they are achieving. This is because your child has not been exposed to more advanced reading materials. With the grade-per-year system used in American public schools, your child is only exposed to one grade level’s worth of materials at a time. However, we know your child’s potential is much greater because, with the Reading Tutoring Above Grade Level Students Program, your child can accomplish three to six grade’s worth of reading progress in one calendar year.
Ninety percent of the country never advances beyond a sixth-grade reading level. This problem stems from how schools teach vocabulary and sort students into reading levels. The reading levels assigned in school are arbitrary, with half of the students meeting or exceeding the designated standard, and the rest falling behind. Worse, schools have no real mechanism for helping children who fall behind to catch up to their peers, because they are designed to make only one level of progress per year.
Furthermore, they don’t introduce enough vocabulary. How many words does your child’s teacher introduce per week? Ten? Twenty? None? In our experience working with over 10,000 students, most classroom teachers don’t introduce any vocabulary, or give only one repetition for each word, not enough for any child to really learn it. For a child who doesn’t understand the vocabulary, even if they can read the words, it will be impossible for them to understand what they’ve read. This is a system that creates unhappy, unconfident readers, who may seem to be meeting classroom standards, but aren’t really moving ahead in reading progress.
At the Dicker Reading Method, and with the Reading Tutoring Above Grade Level Students Program, we can find and address the specific areas where your child needs the most help, and expose them to up to 20,000 new vocabulary words and their meanings. We have developed an exclusive technique that will expose your child to five new words and their meanings per minute, enabling them to become a fluent, confident reader who truly understands what they’ve read. When your child gains mastery over the words that once tripped them up, they will reach new levels of achievement and enjoyment in reading.
