Darius – Former DRM Student, Current Student at RPI, Future Engineer
I just received this in the mail from a parent at the Dicker Reading Method.

Darius of the Bronx, NY , a former student at the Dicker Reading Method, was recently featured on the front page of his local newspaper for his academic accomplishments.

When Darius first came to the Dicker Reading Method when he was in the 7th grade, he had been labeled ADHD and was reading on a 4th grade level.  After 6 months in our program, Darius was reading on a 12th grade level.  Darius, who cites the Dicker Reading Method as the reason for his success, has recently gained admission to 9 of 11 of the nation’s top colleges (Carnegie Mellon, Harvard, MIT, Cornell, Princeton to name a few) and will be attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to pursue a career in engineering.

We wish Darius continued success throughout college and in each of his future endeavors.

Alex
Alex of Portchester, NY was in the 1st grade when he came to us.  He knew about 17 words and was so hyperactive that he was taking Ridelin.  In the first session, I cut out the hyperactivity and he shifted internally from “I can’t” to “I can”.  He walked out reading the first pre-primer book of our series fluently.  Less than a year in the program, Alex was reading on a 6th grade level.  Now, Alex is in the 7th grade.  Had Alex not been in the program, his life would have been totally different.  I just heard from his mom that he took the test for Johns Hopkins and scored a 1200 on the SATs.
